LEARN MORE ABOUT US

IAAM is a club that hopes to promote, math and motivate high school and elementary students to get excited about this subject and its many applications. Our main activities will consist of organizing and leading school visits where classes will either come to campus and participate in a math activity or we will go to them! Members of the group will go through a seminar where they will learn how to guide these activities in order for them to lead some of these visits on their own!

Check out our 2019-2020 promotional video! Be sure to check us out on Instagram (@iaam_uoft) to stay up-to-date on all events, volunteering and paid positions!

Think about this Puzzle:

There are a 100 people in line to board a plane that has 100 seats. The first person in line realizes he lost his boarding pass so when he boards he decides to take a random seat instead. Every person that boards the plane after him will either take their assigned seat, or if that seat is taken, they will sit in a random seat instead. What is the probability that the last person that boards will end up in his/her proper seat?
